MESSAGE FROM THE FATHER TO HIS CREATION
Throughout the history of man, the Creator has not ceased communicating with His creation. In the Garden of Eden, He daily visited with Adam and Eve. After their fall, God communicated with man through the Patriarchs and Prophets. In these latter days, however, God speaks to us through His son, Jesus Christ whom He sent into the world to be the propitiation for our sins. (Heb. 1:1-2; 1 John 4:10).
The Father, though not communicating with man individually in the past, speaks to each of us individually today. This He does through the written Word. God's communication with man, from the time of Adam and Eve to Christ and his Apostles are compiled in the book called the Holy Bible. This Holy Book is also called the Word of God and the Word of truth. Through this written word, God speaks to each of us personally – to our past, our present and our future. Today, His message to all humanity, comes from this written word.
MESSAGE FROM THE FATHER TO THE WORLD || MAN HAS REJECTED LIGHT || A CALL TO REPENTANCE
This is God's message to the world:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” (John 3:16-21)
The message from God the Father to the world, is that He has sent light to man, but that man has rejected that light. God now calls man to repentance.“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt. 4:17). “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:32).“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” (Acts 17:30-31). The Lord is…longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Pet. 3:9).
MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH FROM THE FATHER || A BACKSLIDING CHURCH ||
A CALL TO REPENTANCE
The message from the Father to the Church comes from the following four passages of Scriptures:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee”. (Hos.4:6).
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”. (2 Chron. 7:14).
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches”. (Rev. 3:14-22).
“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities”. (Rev. 18:1-5).
Have you observed that though the messages are different, the call to both the unbelievers and to the believers is the same? Both the world and the Church are operating in darkness and we are both called to repentance. The Church boasts about being the light and being in the light, not realizing that like the foolish virgins our lamps have long gone out and we are without reserve. We have failed to recognize the we are children of light and not children of the darkness. (Eph. 5:8). The Church has operated in darkness for so long, it has adjusted to the dark, to the extent that we can no longer distinguish between light and darkness. We now call the darkness light and the light we call darkness.
The clarion call to everyone is to get out of the darkness and into the light'. Listen attentively to these liberating words of Jesus, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 12:46). Be the light you are called to be, so that as you are illuminated your light can reflect on others. “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”. (Matt. 5:14-16). Amen!!
