This is your prospectus. There are, however, a few points that must be underscored.

The first relates to our Motto which states, 'Know what you believe and why you believe it. Know the truth or believe a lie'. This motto is especially true as it relates to your salvation, given the myriad warnings against deception in the Scriptures. You must not only know all the requirements of your salvation, but you must also be able to explain and defend it. You must be completely certain about what you believe. This is essential, not only to guarantee your priceless salvation, but to successfully navigate the many challenges that will come against you. If you do not know where you are going, any road will take you there. There is only one road to your salvation, not two, not three or many and there are countless who will never find it, even some Church members.

The second point which is linked to the first, refers to your salvation goal. As you engage in your studies, you must always have these two passages of Scriptures as your frame of reference. You must never forget them.

  1. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Phil. 2:12).

  2. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. (2 Pet. 1:10-11).

Don't ever forget – your salvation is ultimately your responsibility. Don't leave it to someone else. No one else can secure it for you.

The last point relates to your comments. When making comments, names of individuals, groups, denominations, religions, institutions, political parties and countries must not be mentioned. Mention of these will only be facilitated in our study of church history. You may, however, mention the name of your country to tell where you are from.

You can identify a teaching that you consider to be false, but you must produce the Scriptural reference which confirms your belief. However, persons, groups, denominations or religions advocating such a teaching should not be named.

Also, when you make responses to fellow students, please be respectful. Remember, we are all brethren, offspring of the same Father. While we learn, let us also love, encourage and support. That is our calling. As you go, go with this exhortation: “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man”. (Col. 4:6).
